In late February, MSSP and REACH ACOs received a series of "shadow bundle" files from CMS through the ACO Management System. These included a national hospital episode pricing file, a detailed monthly episode-level file with summary information about each qualifying case for your attributed beneficiaries, and detailed claims that were used to build the episode-level file. These files will be familiar to organizations that previously participated in the CMS Bundled Payment for Care Improvement (BPCI) model but there are many nuances involved in understanding and analyzing the data. In this webinar we will provide a detailed review of the Shadow Bundle data and key variables. We will also discuss the strengths and weakness of the data, and how ACOs can use them to assess the performance of hospitals and specialist providers.
