Travis Broome is the vice-president of policy at Aledade. He guides Aledade and partner physicians through the policy, strategy and economics of value based health care. Joining Aledade shortly after its start, he has worked on nearly every aspect from business development for both practices and payers, to early analytics, to serving as an ACO executive director. Prior to Aledade, he spent seven years at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in roles ranging from regulation writing to quality improvement to management. Mr. Broome earned his masters of public health and business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Randy Cook is ACO executive for AmpliPHY of Texas ACO, LLC and a seasoned healthcare professional with a comprehensive background across multiple healthcare industry sectors. Mr. Cook started on the provider side as a mental health counselor. For nine years he worked in the payer sector running operations in various markets for John Deere Health Care. With Columbia/HCA, he experienced healthcare from the hospital perspective. Joining UniPhy and later at State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company, he has seen the healthcare industry through the eyes of physician practices. By starting Meritus, LLC and now AmpliPHY Physician Services, Mr. Cook applies entrepreneurial skills to healthcare. He believes the key element for success is physician leadership partnered with management know-how. He applies this belief, experience, skill and knowledge at AmpliPHY Physician Services. AmpliPHY is focused on helping physicians lead the transformation of healthcare in their own markets. He has a bachelor's degree from Carson-Newman College and a master's in public health from the University of Tennessee. He is a certified medical practice executive and a fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

Scott Disch has been working in acute care hospitals and ambulatory health networks for the past twenty years, of which the latter thirteen have been focused on administration and operational management of physician practices, strategic growth initiatives, population health / risk contract management and development of physician financial and service contractual relationships.  In his various roles within Physician Services, he has garnered experience in revenue cycle management, managed care and value-based risk contracting, physician recruitment, integration, and on-boarding, detailed medical practice operations, and day-to-day adherence to quality outcomes, process efficiency and throughput in the ambulatory setting.  Scott has held leadership positions with physician organizations such as Privia Health, Vanguard Health Systems, Catholic Health East, and other independent entities. 

Kimberly Kauffman is Summit’s chief value-based care officer. In her role, she is responsible for the transition from fee-for-service to fee-for-value. In support of value-based contracts with CMMI, Medicare Advantage, commercial health plans and Medicaid managed care, she leads the care coordination, health education, integrated programs, quality reporting and improvement, risk adjustment and provider engagement teams and works closely with a data analytics partner. Before joining Summit, Ms. Kauffman managed a large independent physicians’ association in Florida and also worked with hospital and physician leadership to create several regional Physician Hospital Organizations. Prior to that, she was responsible for operations for senior healthcare centers, supporting multiple hospital clients. She received her master’s degree from the College of Public Health at the University of Florida. She is an officer of the Board of Directors for the National Association of ACOs.  

Amy Kotch, senior business consultant of Salient Management Company, is a certified population health data analyst from Johns Hopkins, has a masters in health administration from Florida Atlantic University and bachelor of science from the University of Miami. Ms. Kotch has been working as an ACO consultant nationwide for more than 4 years, and has experience in disease management, research, data analysis, and patient relations. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and hopes to earn her fellowship in the near future. 

Colleen Norris is a consulting actuary in the Denver office of Milliman and has been with the firm since 2008. She specializes in providing analytical and strategic support to organizations engaging in new models of reimbursing providers. She has helped both providers and payers develop quantitative approaches of understanding and measuring the spectrum of potential risk under a variety of potential arrangements. Ms. Norris’ experience includes analyzing changes to provider reimbursement contracts to ensure consistency with desires goals, modeling risk transfers in reimbursement contracts, and developing strategic approaches to manage transferred risks. She also has experience with Medicare ACO (MSSP & Next Gen) and MACRA risk impact assessments and strategic planning. Ms. Norris has experience with using predictive models to help organizations identify, measure, and monitor key risk factors. Her background also includes commercial healthcare benefit plan design, pricing, feasibility studies, and financial modeling. She has a master’s degree in physics from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and a bachelor’s of science in physics from Creighton University. 

Stephen Nuckolls is the chief executive officer of Coastal Carolina Health Care, PA, and their ACO, Coastal Carolina Quality Care, Inc.  His responsibilities include the direct management of the 60 provider multi-specialty physician-owned medical practice and its ACO that was selected by CMS in the initial round in April 2012 and is currently in a 2-sided risk model.  Mr. Nuckolls facilitated the formation of the medical practice in 1997 and has served in his current role since that time.  Prior to the formation of this organization, Mr. Nuckolls helped guide physicians and integrated hospital organizations in the formation of larger systems.  Mr. Nuckolls earned his BA in economics from Davidson College and his MAC from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.  He is a founding member of the National Association of ACOs and served as their board chair from 2016-2017 and currently serves as treasurer.  Prior to 2016 he served as treasurer and chair of their policy committee.  In addition to these responsibilities he has served on several advisory boards and committees for the North Carolina Medical Society and is a frequent speaker on ACOs and related topics at medical conferences including presentations for the Medical Group Management Association, the American College of Physicians, and the National Association of ACOs.
